The Southeast Alaska Discovery Center is a multi-faceted place where visitors can interact with six of Alaska's native habitats, including a rain forest, glaciers and mountains. The center also features a learning center, which is a junior classroom for child-oriented education, and also displays contemporary totem poles, native basketry and other crafts. Located in downtown Ketchikan, the center also serves as a public lands information center.
Open mid-May - mid-Oct: daily 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; mid-Oct - mid-May: Thurs. - Sun. 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
