Description:

The Saxman Native Village is a wonderful way to become immersed in the ancient traditions of the Tlingit Natives of southeastern Alaska. Normally visited as part of a group tour, visitors to the village may be treated to several traditional dances, a brief tutorial on the beautiful Tlingit language, and an educational tour through the history and cultural beliefs of the ancient tribe. The village is located a few miles south of Ketchikan, past Pennock Island, along the scenic Alaskan coastline.
