Tongass Historical Museum helps preserve and explain the history, artwork and culture of the southeast Alaskan area, including artifacts from both native cultures and European settlers. The museum features permanent and temporary exhibits, from both its own collections and local contributions, and also provides a number of programs and events to the community. The museum is located just west of Dolly's House Museum.
Open May - Sep: daily 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Oct - Apr: Wed. - Fri. p.m. 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.; Sat. 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.; Sun. 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
