Showcasing a collection of 19th-century totem poles rescued from abandoned native villages, the Totem Heritage Center also highlights the traditional crafts of Alaskan natives through nationally-recognized classes. The magnificent totem poles are displayed alongside important native artifacts in the museum. It's located just northeast of Tongass Historical Museum on the outskirts of town.
